SHIFT Partners with STOKE Certified for Sustainable Event Certification
This year’s SHIFT is partnering with STOKE Certified as a pioneer event for their sustainable event certification. STOKE enables operators to implement innovative sustainable practices to overcome the environmental, socio-cultural, and economic challenges of the future.
Here are the sustainability programs you can look forward to at #SHIFT2017.
To save paper, our whole agenda for #SHIFT2017 is hosted on Whova. Download today and join the conversation—you can connect with other SHIFT attendees prior to the Festival!
Klean Kanteen is providing aluminum pint cups to every SHIFT All-Festival and All-Summit pass holder in 2017. These cups are yours to use throughout the 2017 SHIFT Festival—at meals, panels, lunches, and evening events. We’re reaching out to restaurants hosting SHIFT events to encourage them to fill your cups instead of theirs. USE THEM WITH ABANDON!
Bring your own travel mugs for coffee in the morning, or a coozie to use on your pint cup.
Lower Valley Energy is generously offsetting the energy used by the 2017 SHIFT Festival with their Green Power Program. Read more here.
SHIFT strives to be a zero-waste event. Through a partnership with Westbank Sanitation and Teton County Integrated Waste and Recycling, we’re making waste management easier than ever—look for signage, bins, and opportunities to dispose of waste properly spread throughout SHIFT. And stop by the Westbank Sanitation booth! We’re raffling off jackets from our partners at Stio and other prizes to attendees who show off their waste management expertise.
To facilitate transport between SHIFT and the town of Jackson (.5 miles away), Snow King Mountain Sports (on site) is offering five bikes for use by attendees during the Festival. Call (307) 201-5096 and mention the SHIFT Festival.
The START Bus offers transportation throughout the town of Jackson, including stops at Snow King Hotel.
Keep it Public, Wyoming will be on-site at SHIFT to provide letter-writing opportunities for our public lands and waters. Anyone at SHIFT who writes a postcard will be entered into the raffle.
Thank you, all, for supporting our efforts to build SHIFT into an event that walks the walk for our environment.
