Daniel Lucio is a native Texan/Tejano and volunteer leader with the Sierra Club. He’s lived and worked in frontline communities to fight industrial polluters, protect and restore public lands, and increase access to outdoor education for youth in South Texas. Daniel is currently co-leading a national taskforce for the Sierra Club’s Our Wild America campaign aimed at creating a more inclusive movement for public land and water protection and conservation. When he is not volunteering for something, he can be found at his “day job” at Google Fiber where he works to bridge the digital divide in Austin, Texas, through community engagement and supporting digital inclusion programs.
Daniel will speak on the panel ‘Public Lands Advocacy: The Business Case‘ on Saturday, October 15 at 10:00 AM as part of the SHIFT Summit.
