Evan is the Environmental Stewardship Coordinator for NOLS, a leading provider of wilderness education headquartered in Lander, Wyoming. Originally from Western New York, Evan has spent the last decade running, climbing, skiing, and working to conserve special places across the West. Evan is spearheading several projects at the interface of outdoor recreation and conservation in his role at NOLS, including work to keep public lands in public hands, advocating for public lands access and outdoor recreation opportunities, and establishing a Wyoming Outdoor Business Association to represent and grow the outdoor economy in the state. Evan also serves on the Fremont County Recreation Board, co-directs the Lander Running Club, and founded a new Wyoming-based conservation organization, Western Sense.
Evan will speak at the panel, ‘The Outdoor Industry and Our Public Lands‘ on Saturday, October 15 at 10 AM as part of the SHIFT Summit.
