Kat is a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of the Interior, where she manages a broad portfolio of policy and management issues. In this capacity, she led the development of the Every Kid in a Park website and works to improve government operations and processes, including commercial recreation permitting. She previously served as Deputy Staff Director to the Steering Committee in the U.S. Senate and spent five years in Anchorage, Alaska advancing political, legislative, and environmental initiatives through work in the Alaska State Legislature and political campaigns. She has a B.A. and MBA from Yale University.
Kat will be speaking at the panel ‘The Rec Economy and Our Public Lands‘ on Friday, October 14 at 3:30 PM as part of the SHIFT Summit.
