Maite Arce

Maite Arce is the President/CEO of the Hispanic Access Foundation (HAC). She will present the HAC’s initiative, Latino Conservation Week, at SHIFT for the Planet on Wednesday, November 1. Latino Conservation Week is a 2017 SHIFT Award Official Selection.

Maite is a leading voice in creating access and enhancing opportunities for Latinos to connect with information, partners, and resources and serve as advocates for their communities. Her experience in innovative public engagement spans her 21-year career in the nonprofit sector. She is the founder and President/CEO of Hispanic Access Foundation (HAF), a DC-based national nonprofit known for its successful track record in building diverse coalitions, community engagement, and advocacy in 18 communities nationwide. Maite’s work has increased Latino advocates’ contributions to national monument campaigns including the San Gabriel Mountains, Browns Canyon, Sand to Snow, Castle Mountain, and Mojave Trails and the number of talented Latino millennials in cultural and historic preservation and natural resource conservation jobs in public lands across the nation.
