Rachel VandeVoort is Montana’s Director of the Office of Outdoor Recreation, and the first female director of a state office of outdoor recreation in the country. She will participate in the State Office of Outdoor Recreation Workshop Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. — 12 p.m. at the Snow King Resort.

Prior to her appointment to the Office of Outdoor Recreation, VanderVoort was Trade Relations Manager at Kimber MFG, Inc., one of the leading US producers of firearms. As Trade Relations Manager, she was responsible for the development of Kimber’s trade relations strategy and the management of all trade relations activities, including media inquiries/relations, business partners, advertising and placement, sponsorship, marketing-related trade shows, media events and shooting sports events. She was also charged with the development of content, website(s) and collateral. A graduate of the University of Montana, she lives in Whitefish.
