Ben Ellis (MBA, Ph.D.) develops utility-scale renewable energy projects in western states for owners and investors through his project development company, Sagebrush Energy. Ben manages all aspects of project development for investors and utility clients, including staffing, consultants, allocation of resources, strategic planning, economic modeling, and project finance. During the course of his career he developed an intimate knowledge of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and helped to secure environmental permitting for large electrical utilities. Recently he has provided strategic planning and construction management for a number of renewable energy projects. Ben has a doctorate from the University of New Hampshire in Natural Resource Economics. Ben is also a county commissioner in Teton County, WY.
