Breakfast Discourse: State Offices of Outdoor Recreation

The breakfast discourse on State Offices of Outdoor Recreation has sold out.

Participation will be limited to those who have RSVP’d.

In recognition of the impact of outdoor recreation on economies, natural resources and citizen health, the State of Utah opened the Utah Office of Outdoor Recreation in 2013. In June, 2015, Colorado opened the Outdoor Recreation Industry Office. Washington State has now opened an office of outdoor recreation as well.

Presented by the Outdoor Industry Association, the Breakfast Discourse on State Offices of Outdoor Recreation will take place on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 a.m., at the Wort Hotel’s Jackson Room in Jackson Hole, WY.

Join Brad Petersen, Director of Utah’s Office of Outdoor Recreation, and Luis Benitez, Director of the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office, as they present their experiences at the helms of the country’s first such offices.

The discourse, which will be moderated by Cailin O’Brien-Feeney, the Local Recreation Advocacy Manager for the Outdoor Industry Association, will include discussions of best practices, opportunities, and challenges in the support and promotion of outdoor recreation on a state-wide level.

Participation in the Breakfast Discourse on State Offices of Outdoor Recreation is available to those who have RSVP’d.
