Yellowstone, with David Quammen & Charlie Hamilton James

National Geographic Contributing Writer David Quammen and National Geographic Magazine photographer Charlie Hamilton James will present on Yellowstone National Park, the first national park in the world and the subject of the May 2016 issue of National Geographic Magazine.

Mr. Quammen is the sole author of the Yellowstone issue—the first time in the magazine’s 127-year history that a single person has written an entire issue.

Mr. James, a celebrated wildlife photographer and BBC television personality, was one of the principal photographers for the Yellowstone issue.

2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, the inception of which was influenced in no small part by National Geographic. To celebrate, the Society will focus its efforts in 2016 on national parks.
