Diana Madson

Diana Madson is the Executive Director of The Mountain Pact and Manager of Sierra Business Council’s Sierra CAMP, the Climate Adaptation & Mitigation Partnership. In the face of climate change, The Mountain Pact works to inform and mobilize mountain towns across the West around federal policies affecting their communities and recreation-based economies. Sierra CAMP is a collaborative effort designed to reduce the burden of climate impacts on communities and ecosystems throughout the Sierra Nevada and in the downstream urban communities that depend on those rural resources. Growing up in Northern California, Diana spent much of her life in the great mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Devoting her career and education to protecting these precious landscapes and vibrant communities, Diana is driven to catalyze change where it counts. Diana received her Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Society & Environment and a B.A. in Rhetoric.

Diana will moderate the Skiing and Climate Change happy hour on Wed., Oct. 7, and participate in the Hot and Wild happy hour on Th., Oct. 8.
