What: A workshop on the creation of offices of outdoor recreation
Who:
Presented by People For Bikes and the Outdoor Industry Association, and facilitated by the OIA’s Local Recreation Advocacy Manager Cailin O’Brien-Feeney and Brad Petersen—who, as Director of Utah’s office, was the first such director in the country—the workshop will begin with presentations by Luis Benitez, Tom Adams, Jon Snyder, directors of the Offices of Outdoor Recreation for Colorado and Utah, respectively, and Washington State’s Recreation Policy Advisor.

Working in geographic teams with facilitation from Luis Benitez, Tom Adams, Jon Snyder, Brad Peterson and Cailin O’Brien-Feeney, participants will work in teams assembled by geography (i.e., New England, Southeast, West Coast, etc.) to develop an actionable plan for office creation in their respective regions.
Guiding questions for the working time:
11:30: Report Out
Each team will report back on the key points of their action plan for creating offices in their respective states.
