Katherine Thompson is the Northwest Wyoming Program Director for The Nature Conservancy. Since 2009, she has managed projects focusing on winter range protection for Yellowstone’s migratory herds and river restoration for water quality and wildlife habitat improvement. With partners, she also helped to create the Cody Wild West River Fest, an annual event encouraging river recreation and conservation. Katherine came to Wyoming from TNC’s Hawaii Chapter where she managed the Conservancy’s conservation work on the south end of Hawaii Island. She has a master’s in botany from the University of Hawaii and did undergraduate work in biology and environmental studies at the Universities of Montana and Michigan.
Katherine will represent The Nature Conservancy and Cody Wild West River Fest at the SHIFT Summit’s Marketplace on Friday, Oct. 14 at 1:45 p.m.
