A Casper, Wyoming native, Aaron Bannon has been committed to protecting western landscapes for over 15 years. After two years with the Peace Corps in the Russian Far East, he worked as a media officer at Greenpeace in Washington, DC, as a wilderness advocate at the Sierra Club in Sheridan, WY, and as a conservation contractor at ForestEthics in San Francisco. He eventually settled in Lander where he is currently the Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability Director for NOLS, the National Outdoor Leadership School. Aaron is a founding steering committee member of the Coalition for Outdoor Access, President of the Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources Commission, and a board member of the America Outdoors Association. He and his wife Joy have two fabulously frustrating children.
