Garrett Long is a fifth-generation Montanan whose family came to the state during the Homestead Act. He developed a deep respect for the outdoors roaming the local landscape in his free time. After completing his degree with plans of going to medical school, his desire to be involved in the outdoors proved too strong. He soon began working for a Bozeman, Montana-based company called SITKA Gear. As a result of SITKA’s desire to elevate their conservation messaging, Garrett became the Conservation Liaison. He now works directly with SITKA’s conservation partners while further developing the company’s strategy and participation in conservation and sustainability practices.
