State offices of outdoor recreation are reinvigorating local economies, improving citizen health and protecting our lands, waters and wildlife around the West.
On Wednesday, November 1, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Snow King Resort Hotel in Jackson, WY, SHIFT’s Offices of Outdoor Recreation Workshop will teach participants how to create an office of outdoor recreation in their states. For more information, click here.
The workshop will begin with a panel discussion featuring representatives from Wyoming, Vermont, Oregon, North Carolina and other states that are in the process of creating offices of outdoor recreation. Representatives will share lessons learned from their efforts to create offices, followed by a “Campaign Workshop” in which participants work in teams assembled according to the stage of their office creation to develop an actionable plan for success.
