Thriving With Cancer in Nature

In 2018, an estimated 1,735,350 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. The chances of surviving cancer are greater than ever before—but what if you want to do more than survive? What if you want to thrive?

Join SHIFT Award Official Selections Lise Lozelle, Marketing Director, Casting for Recovery, and Ryan O’Donoghue, Executive Director, First Descents, for a casting clinic that doubles as a forum on the ways their organizations are helping those with cancer thrive through nature contact.

  • Casting for Recovery provides free fly fishing retreats for women with breast cancer.
  • First Descents is a national organization that provides adventure experiences for young cancer patients and survivors between the age of 18 and 39.

Space is limited to 30 participants. To reserve your spot, RSVP here.

The program will be held immediately behind (north of) Snow King Resort Hotel. Gather at King’s Grill at 1:30 to order lunch before proceeding to the site location.
