Adam is an outdoor enthusiast whose work and studies have focused on the intersection of psychology, our relationship with the Earth, and culture. He is the founder of Exploring Roots, a non-profit in Kansas City, Missouri that seeks to create healing relationships between people and nature, which is where he currently serves as the Head of Experiential Healing and as a Counseling Intern. He is also the architect of one of the nation’s leading programs for veterans with Post Traumatic Stress – Warriors’ Ascent – as he is an Iraq War veteran. He possesses a Master’s Degree in Global Studies (focusing in International Relations and Comparative Politics), and is a third-year graduate student studying Depth Psychology in the Jungian tradition. His thesis focuses on the dreams of trauma survivors and how they promote healing and transformation.
