Noah Wilson

Noah Wilson is the Executive Director of the Outdoor Gear Builders of Western North Carolina and President of Emergent Opportunities Inc. He was instrumental in spearheading North Carolina’s office of outdoor recreation, and will facilitate the State Office of Outdoor Recreation Workshop Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. — 12 p.m. at the Snow King Resort.

Outdoor Gear Builders of Western North Carolina is an alliance of Western North Carolina-based companies collaborating to share talents, encourage new ideas and inspire each other. Their member brands are dedicated to creating extraordinary outdoor gear with a focus on responsible manufacturing, cutting edge innovation, and economic growth in the Western North Carolina region.

Emergent Opportunities, Inc., provides regional planning and infrastructure development for rural communities. The organization’s mission is to build just and thriving regional economies that work for all of the people within them, and which inherently incentivize good stewardship of the land.

Noah is a collaborative, entrepreneurial leader and bridge-builder who is comfortable with both the technical and sociopolitical sides of issues. He specializes in participatory planning and convening, organizing collective impact networks, and bringing out the stories of success that we need to hear right now.
