Tania Briceno is an ecological economist specialized in the valuation of non-market benefits provided by nature. Currently she is Senior Economist at Batker Consulting LLC, a company dedicated to true cost accounting and socioeconomic analysis. Tania has a PhD in Environmental Economics from University of Montreal and a Masters in Ecological Economics from University of Leeds. She worked with the non-profit Earth Economics for seven years on the application of economic tools to improve decision making for conservation goals. She worked for the Government of Canada creating policies for climate change adaptation as well as with the University of Science and Technology, in Norway, on the design of more sustainable transport policies for the European Commission.
