We want you to have a fun time in Jackson, without breaking the bank! Check out our tips below for insiders tips on how to score affordable flights, food and more.

Getting To Jackson Hole on a Budget

Flying

To Jackson: Located 9 miles outside Jackson, Wy, the Jackson Hole airport is the closest and most convenient airport for the SHIFT Festival. The sooner your ticket is purchased, the more affordable the ticket will be.

American, Delta, and United offer consistent flights to Jackson year-around. Frontier offers flights on select days and times. Check Sky Scanner or Expedia to compare deals across airlines.

To Salt Lake City: Salt Lake is serviced by all  major airlines and is 4.5-5 hour drive south of Jackson. Rent a car, carpool, or take a shuttle from SLC to Jackson.

To Idaho Falls: A smaller national airport 2 hours west of Jackson, Idaho Falls can have surprisingly affordable flights, friendly and easy TSA agents, and no lines. Rent a car or take a Greyhound Bus to get to Jackson.

Bottom budget tip:  Knit together one way flights to and from major airport hubs like Denver, Chicago, or Phoenix that might have cheaper flight options to Jackson/SLC.

Driving

Carpool: Check out the carpool forum in the Whova app, the official ticketing and event app for SHIFT. You can get to know attendees before you arrive, arrange transportation sharing, and get up to date event info from your phone.

Rent a Car: Find your typical car rental agencies at the airport like Budget or Hertz,  try Zipcar (major cities only) or book a car with Turo (great for those under 25).
