Ashby Leavell

Ashby Leavell is a PhD student at the University of Colorado in Environmental Studies, researching the human + nature health connection. Ashley graduated with a French major and a Landscape Architecture minor at the University of Virginia in 2007. For ten years afterwards she worked in botanic gardens and public park systems in the U.S. and the U.K. as a horticulturalist, educator, administrator, and researcher. She completed a Master’s fellowship in Public Horticulture with Longwood Gardens and the University of Delaware in 2012. She is currently excited to be pursuing research on loneliness, social connectedness, and prescribing time in nature.
