Idaho native, Heather Parkinson Dermott, is a writer, entrepreneur, and the Executive Director for Idaho Business for the Outdoors. She received her MFA in film production from the University of Southern California where she worked on a number of award winning short films and documentaries that screened internationally. She Co-founded and was CEO of Willoop LLC, a Boise based mobile and web platform supporting the creation of advance directives. Heather grew up fly fishing, hiking and riding horses in Idaho where she wrote and published her novel, Across Open Ground, set in the Wood River Valley of Idaho during WWI. Heather is thrilled to be raising her family in Idaho where they enjoy hiking, fishing, and biking.
