Katelyn loves working as an expedition guide, facilitating transformative experiences in backcountry settings. After active duty military service, Katelyn worked in trauma response in the adult and children’s ER of San Antonio Texas. She then joined international anti-human traffic efforts as a sex trafficking intervention and aftercare specialist. When she discovered the healing capacity of outdoor programming, she set out to be a guide and has invested the last 3 years blending glacier guiding and social work. Katelyn has her Wilderness EMT, Swiftwater Rescue, Avalanche 1 and a BS in Human Services. Katelyn is excited to participate in SHIFT and learn about other programs she can support and collaborate with!
